Reverend Cassandra B. Weakley

 

The Reverend Cassandra B. Weakley, a native of Washington, D.C. is the daughter of the late Mr. Henderson B. and Mrs. Virginia E. Bland. Married to Claudell Weakley they have six children and 5 grandchildren. Anointed to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORD’S favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn (Isaiah 62;1-2).

 

Rev. Weakley earned an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice from NW Shoals Community College, a B.S. degree in Bible from Heritage Christian University, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from West Village Theological Institute, and Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Jacksonville State Theological Seminary. 

 

Rev. Weakley attended the D.C. Fire Academy and is a retiree of the D. C. Fire Department. An entrepreneur; Founder and CEO of Caring About Kids Everywhere, Heavenly Grace Homeless Transitional Home for Men, Heavenly Grace Homeless Transitional Home for Women and Children, Heavenly Grace Homeless Carwash, Heavenly Grace Food Bank, Furniture Bank, Clothing Bank and Heavenly Grace U-Haul. Also Hosting Heavenly Grace Radio Broadcast for twenty years.

 Rev. Weakley was appointed Regional Director of Evangelism at the 2012 North Central Alabama Regional Annual Conference by Bishop Teresa E. Snorton. She is a Certified State of Alabama Victim’s Assistance Advocate, Contact Person for the Alabama Chapter of The National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children, a life member of NAACP, life member of The National Council of Negro Women and Palliative Chaplain at E.C.M. Hospital in Florence Al.

 

In 2006 Rev. Weakley was blessed to accompany Bishop Ronald Cunningham to the Dominic Republic-Haiti. Guided by the Missions Supervisor they met with the Head Master and Teachers concerning the School. The children were welcomed host.

Rev Weakley is the 2012 Recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Community Service. The 2013 NAACP Recipient of the Humanitarian Award “For Outstanding Human Services Rendered To the Citizens of the Shoals Area” in 2013. Rev. Weakley was the Exempleary Female Pastor In Ministry in 2014 choosen to represent the Fifth Episcopal District. Was invited to the White House as part of the Black Methodist Coalition in 2015. Also Rev. Weakley Graduated from The National Institute for Human Development, INC Academy for Public Theology Connectional Clinical Pastorial Education Program with Level 1 CPE.

 

Rev. Weakley began preaching in 1993, and was humbly honored by ordination into the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in 2010 as Deacon by the late Bishop W.E.Lockett and ordained Elder into full connection by the first female Bishop in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Bishop Teresa E. Snorton, Prelate of the Fifth Episcopal District. Rev. Weakley is the Pastor of Armstead Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Florence, Alabama. To God be the Glory.
